UH Dance Ensemble

Dance enthusiasts of all ages welcome!  In celebration of Teen Read Week, the library to proud to present the UH Dance Ensemble.  This touring company of seven talented students performs a wide range of dance, including modern, jazz, tap, hula, step, and ballet.  Audience questions, especially from young aspiring dancers, are encouraged after the show.   

Exercise and Your Arthritis

This free program for seniors and adults will feature tai chi with Ileina Ferrier and an informative seminar by Pepper Cumming of the Arthritis Foundation.  Learn about the different forms of arthritis, how exercise can be used to treat them, and services offered by the Arthritis Foundation, including exercise classes!  Then try tai chi and take home useful handouts, such as a rheumatologist referral list. 

Navigating Services to the Eldery

This free educational presentation with Nick Yee of ING Financial Advisors will help seniors and caregivers understand long term care options, with the goal of aging with dignity and independence in mind.  The presentation will cover long term care basics, paying for long term care, long term care insurance, and deciding if long term care insurance is an appropriate option.
