Many thanks to the Friends of the Aina Haina Public Library for providing funding for this program.

Fred Korematsu Speaks Up: a Presentation by Stan Yogi

Wednesday, July 12, 2017 - 10:30am - 11:15am
Meeting Room

Join us for a fascinating presentation by Stan Yogi, co-author of Fred Korematsu Speak Up. Using PowerPoint, Mr. Yogi will explain the connections he and his co-author have to this book and what led to to write it. He will then introduce us to the subject of his book, Fred Korematsu, a civil rights icon and 1998 Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient. Although the targeted audience of this book is for grades 4 to 8, this presentation should be attended by all people interested in the civil rights issues being discussed today.
