Support AHPL
There are many wonderful ways to support Aina Haina Public Library. The library benefits from your donations of used books, as well as when you buy books at the Friends of Aina Haina Public Library book sales. You may also make monetary donations to the Friends of Aina Public Haina Library or directly to the Aina Haina Public Library's HSPLS trust account. You can also donate money for the purchase of new books and designate Aina Haina Public Library as the recipient through the Makana Akamai program. Your contributions help support the collections and services of the library, including the many programs and events for children, teens, and adults/seniors. The library also welcomes volunteers on an "as needed" basis.
Buy Used Books
Looking for an easy way to support your local library and at the same time find great books to read? Consider buying used books from one of the several books sales run by the Friends of Aina Haina Public Library. In turn, the money raised by the Friends supports the programs, events, services, and resources provided by library.

Donate Used Books
When you are finished reading a book or viewing a DVD, consider donating it to the library. Of course save the books you really love, but why clutter your home unnecessarily! By donating books in good condition, you support the library in two ways -- those books may be added to the collection or they may be sold by the Friends to raise money for the library. Either way, your donation supports the library.
Make a Donation
The Friends of Aina Haina Public Library accepts monetary donations of any amount. Donations go toward supporting library programs, services, collections, and operations. The Friends also welcome donations to help build their principal, which in turn strengthens the long-term financial support for the library.
The Friends encourage unrestricted donations, as this provides the most flexibility in supporting the needs of the library. However, if you would like your donation to go towards a specific purpose, please discuss your interests with the Friends and the branch manager of the library. Donations can support the purchase of books, movies, and music; support programs for children, teens, and adults/seniors; and support services and technology.
You may also make donations directly to Aina Haina Public Library. In the Hawaii State Public Library System each branch has a trust that holds its donations. Please contact the branch manager if you are interested in donating directly to the library.
